Stop Aberedw energy park
Statutory consultation
On July 2nd 2025 Bute Energy progressed its Aberedw Energy Park to the formal stage by starting a statutory consultation. The statutory consultation will run from July 2nd until 5pm on August 15th. To support the consultation a newsletter has been released and the Bute Aberedw website revised with a large number of technical documents. 2 public exhibitions (or “drop ins” in Bute’s terms) will be held on the 16th and 17th of July from 2pm to 7pm at Hundred House and Aberedw respectively (surprisingly none will be held at Builth Wells despite Bute’s literature referring to the wind farm being near Builth Wells). Based on previous events it is likely that these will be largely staffed by bought in experts with little knowledge of the area concerned or wider issues and no directors of Bute Energy or the Aberedw Energy Park are likely to attend. Notwithstanding this we urge you to go along to review the information available and let your thoughts be known.
Following these events you will have the opportunity of responding to the consultation. Whilst this can be done by using Bute’s feedback form we would urge you to write/email to Bute aberedw@bute.energy with any concerns or questions you may have, To help this site will shortly be updated with key facts relating to the development together with our concerns.
